Banded Girl is a blog written by a nameless 28 year old Girl in the Phoenix, Arizona, USA area who decided to get a gastric band (specifically, the LAP-BAND AP®). She started her pre-operative diet on May 28, 2009 at 298.2 pounds and had surgery on June 18, 2009 at 288.4 pounds. Banded Girl is primarily a chronicle of the Girl’s experiences with the band and is also a place for other health-related ramblings. The site also boasts occasional contributions from the Girl’s significant Boy, who does not have a gastric band.
